Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled WordPress Web Developer to join their team. The role focuses on the development and maintenance of their WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores, ensuring they remain robust, user-friendly, and high-performing. The ideal candidate will work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to deliver tailored solutions aligned with business goals.
In this role, you will directly manage the landing page and storefront of one of the top 10 fin-tech firms of its kind in the global market. Your work will have a measurable impact on the customer experience and on their global presence.
Along with a salary of £35,000 per annum, you will also receive:

What you’ll do as WordPress Web Developer:
*Develop, maintain, and optimise WordPress websites and WooCommerce stores.
*Ensure seamless functionality of WooCommerce, including product pages, checkout processes, and integrations.
*Use HTML and CSS to create responsive, visually appealing web pages.
*Develop custom functionality and integrations in PHP to extend WordPress and WooCommerce capabilities.
*Implement new pages and components based on layouts provided through design platforms like Figma.
*Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Operations teams to gather requirements, ensure consistency, and deliver solutions that align with company goals.
*Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to maintain stability.
*Uphold high-quality standards by incorporating testing practices, including unit tests and end-to-end testing tools like Playwright.
We’re looking for a WordPress Web Developer with:
*Previous experience in WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins.
*Strong expertise in WooCommerce development and management, including configuring store settings, payment gateways, and product management.
*Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles.
*Good understanding of PHP for custom development within WordPress and WooCommerce.
*Experience in translating designs from tools like Figma into fully functional, responsive web pages.
*Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with different stakeholders.
Nice-to-Haves:
*Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) and split testing for WordPress pages.
*Experience building and implementing custom components in WordPress and WooCommerce.
*Knowledge of end-to-end testing using tools like Playwright.
*Familiarity with React and modern front-end development practices.
*Strong critical thinking skills to approach challenges creatively and strategically.
*Experience with data analytics to inform and optimize web solutions.
