Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join our client’s team in Ashford. This temporary position is facilitated by Reed Accountancy & Finance, the UK’s leading specialist recruitment partner. The role is ideal for a professional who is immediately available and can commit to a full-time schedule within our client’s office.
Credit Controller Day-to-day of the role: *Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
*Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks.
*Setting up the terms and conditions of the receivable and payable balances.
*Dealing with internal queries about payments, ensuring customers pay on time and negotiating re-payment plans.
*Assisting in the setting up of the credit control system.
*Ensuring that all transactions are compliant with company policies.
*Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
*Responding to relevant client enquiries.
*Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required.
Credit Controller Required Skills & Qualifications: *Proven experience as a Credit Controller.
*Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
*Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.
*Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
*Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software.
*Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
*Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
*High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
