About the role
Warner Hotels, renowned for grown-up getaways, has 16 properties set in some of the UK’s finest locations, including Heythrop Park in the Cotswolds, The Runnymede on Thames near Windsor, Studley Castle in Warwickshire and Thoresby Hall in Nottinghamshire. Each hotel offers dining, thoughtfully designed rooms, and an impressive line-up of live shows and music – with plenty of areas to relax and soak up the scenery. Guests can try their hand at a new experience with activities such as archery and gin tasting, unwind in the spa and leisure facilities, or stroll through picturesque grounds.
We are looking for a PR expert to run all our external communications for both the Warner Hotels brand and at a local hotel level. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning all consumer PR as well as corporate and media crisis management.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a great understanding of the hospitality industry and posses strong experience in copywriting as well as strong relationships and connections with relevant press contacts.
The PR Manager will be a key support role to the Brand Director. The position will be responsible for implementing strategy, initiatives, planning, coordination and management of the brands and hotel’s integrated plans. Reporting directly to the Brand Director, they will create and communicate the brands and hotel’s messages, oversee and manage all community programming, and ensure overall continuity of hotel brand consistency and image.
What will you be doing?
*Develop and execute an impactful external comms strategy and plan that builds and strengthens our brand reputation, builds awareness and delivers understanding of our core proposition
*Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including marketing, social media, and creative, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to all marketing activity
*Oversee planning and execution of PR campaigns, ensuring messaging is consistent across all channels and effectively resonates with our target audience
*Ability and confidence to be able to write press releases when needed and sell into media
*Work with the Brand team to craft compelling narratives, key messages and press releases that are in line with the communication plan and effectively communicate Warner’s unique selling proposition and campaigns
*Create and annual corporate media plan and engage senior leadership
*Coordinate multiple stakeholders and advise senior leadership on significant reputational issues to the business
*Provide strategic counsel and briefings for senior leadership team on key issues and engagement with media.
*Have the know-how and experience to expertly manage media crises and manage and monitor issues, alongside full business co-ordination
*Occasionally work out of hours to manage any media crises
*Lead and manage the relevant PR agencies
*Coordinate media interest for the brand and hotels and ensure regular contact with target media
*Ensure the hotels have relevant and suitable press trips booked in throughout the year. There will be the requirement to host press trips which will involve over night stays at our hotels and the occasion weekend stays
*Responsible for co-creating, implementing and measuring the success of the PR plans and delivery.
*Co-manage budgets, targets and campaign execution to hit internal customer, category and brand goals e.g., increase, awareness, consideration and understanding.
What are we looking for?
*Stay up to date with PR and influencer marketing trends and develop innovative strategies to position our brand as a leader in the industry with responsibility of communicating to your team and wider business
*Should have some travel or hospitality experience and understanding of this industry
*Strong existing connections within the press and influencer communities
*Confidence to own and run media crisis management
*Able to manage multiple projects
*Minimum 6 years’ experience in PR.
*Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with partners such as press, influencers and agencies
*Strong existing connections within the press and influencer communities
*Strong understanding of the UK media landscape, with an extensive network of media contacts.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and adapt communication styles for different audiences.
*Crisis management experience, demonstrating the ability to handle sensitive situations calmly and effectively.
*Proficiency in media monitoring and analytics tools.
*Creative thinking, strategic mindset, and ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
*A natural networker who can build relationships quickly and effectively.
