Senior Bioinformatician
£65,000 - £75,000
South Cambridge, Hybrid 2-3 days per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and skilled Bioinformatics Software Developer to join one of Cambridge’s exciting biopharmaceutical companies working on truly life-changing advancements in patient treatments. You might be interested in them because:

Key Responsibilities
*Design, develop, and maintain bioinformatic tools and pipelines.
*Provide analytical and statistical expertise to enhance the design of tools.
*Support the creation of web-based bioinformatics databases for analysis.
*Optimise pipelines to ensure scalability and flexibility throughout production.
*Lead and organise projects, collaborating with project members and presenting updates to stakeholders and the wider business.
Requirements
*At least 2 years of industrial experience in bioinformatics.
*Strong Python programming ability and experience with Python testing frameworks.
*Proficiency in analysing next-generation sequencing data.
*SQL Databases, such as PostgreSQL.
Desirable:
*Additional programming experience in languages such as R, JavaScript, Go, or Rust.
*Cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
