Job Description:
At Capital City College (CCC) we are dedicated to transforming lives through exceptional education and training. Our focus is providing our learners with the skills to be successful in their futures, whether that is continuing in education through higher education, or an apprenticeship, or supporting them into a higher-level job.
Are you passionate about fostering a positive and supportive environment for students? Do you have the skills and dedication to inspire young adults to thrive both academically and personally? If so, we want to hear from you!
About the role:
As a Learner Behaviour Coach, you will play a vital role in ensuring the campus remains a safe, inclusive, and engaging space for all learners. You will patrol social spaces, actively engage with learners, and promote positive behaviours that enhance their learning and social experiences. Your ability to address behavioural concerns promptly and effectively will be essential in maintaining the campus’s high standards of conduct.
In this role, you will also mentor students, guiding them to develop good habits and behaviours that contribute to their overall success. Collaborating with staff and departments, you will work to create an environment that inspires and supports students in reaching their full potential. Additionally, you will lead workshops and training sessions, offering valuable insights on self-discipline, effective study habits, and personal growth.
About You
You are passionate about working with young adults and have a genuine interest in helping them succeed academically and personally. Your approachable and positive attitude makes you a trusted mentor, while your strong communication and interpersonal skills enable you to connect effectively with students and colleagues alike.
With a background in Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field, you bring knowledge and expertise to the role. Prior experience in a similar position or working in an educational setting is highly desirable. You are calm under pressure, a natural problem solver, and committed to fostering a supportive and respectful campus environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the CCC team who are passionate and dedicated to providing our students with the best possible teaching and training to fulfil the futures best suited to them. We recognise how hard our people work towards ensuring our students are supported throughout all areas of their college experience, and thus we provide an excellent set of employee benefits.
At CCC we are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion in all our activities for everyone who learns and works here. We respect and value differences and welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds. We create a safe and trusting professional environment where people are treated well and equally.
We are committed to safeguarding and protection of young people and adults and follow Safer Recruitment processes. All successful candidates will need to complete a DBS check, with some roles requiring an Enhanced check.
Our values Respect, Aspiration, Collaboration and Opportunity are the key ideas and principles that people within our organisation and our partners believe are important. They sum Our Purpose: why we do what we do, and Our Approach: how we go about our work.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy if we receive sufficient application for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
