Senior Town Planner - Leeds
Location: Leeds
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About the Role:
My client, a leading environmental consultancy, is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their dynamic team based out of their Leeds office. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Town Planner looking to work on a diverse range of projects within a growing, innovative company. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering planning applications, masterplans, and development strategies for a variety of clients in both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead and manage town planning projects from inception to completion.
*Provide expert advice on town planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
*Prepare and submit planning applications and representations.
*Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to facilitate the progression of planning projects.
*Support junior staff with mentoring and technical guidance.
*Conduct research, site analysis, and feasibility assessments to support planning strategies.
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning policy and legislation.
Requirements:
*A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
*MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status is highly desirable.
*Proven experience in town planning, including managing complex planning applications.
*Strong knowledge of planning legislation, local government processes, and policy.
*Excellent communication, report writing, and project management skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*A proactive, problem-solving attitude.
