Are you a skilled and motivated Buyer looking to make a significant impact on a growing, PE Backed company?
We are seeking a talented Buyer to join our client’s team in Winsford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our business by ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials, components, and services.
This is an opportunity to play an influential role in a growing business and be part of their exciting expansion plans.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
*Forecast and plan purchasing requirements based on manufacturing plans and inventory levels
*Track and expedite orders to meet delivery deadlines
*Create and maintain accurate part numbers and BOMs
*Resolve invoice queries promptly
*Support inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels
*Collaborate with manufacturing and warehouse teams to address discrepancies
*Support the implementation of category strategies and cost-saving initiatives
*Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and inventory levels
*Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues promptly
Skills and Competencies:
*Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
*Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
*Proficiency in Excel, procurement software, and ERP systems
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications and Experience:
*2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment
*Strong negotiation and communication skills
*Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
*Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (desirable)
*Understanding of quality control standards and procedures (desirable)
