Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development professional to join a premium, international business law firm, recognised as one of the most innovative in Europe, to provide support to the firm’s Finance & Projects Group.

This role sits within the Business Development team, whose focus in on helping the firm’s expert partners and other lawyers to drive profitable revenue growth through existing and new clients and develop and deliver a clear brand proposition. Reporting directly to and working with the Head of Group Business Development, you will promote best practice advice and tactics across the Group and will be expected to foster a consultative, client focused approach to business development and marketing activities. Line managing, a Senior BD Executive, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing marketing and business development support that is targeted, and focused on growing new work opportunities across the firm’s client base and sectors. Working alongside the Finance & Projects leadership team, the Business Development Manager will lead on the business development and marketing strategy, aligning business growth plans alongside tactical marketing and business development delivery and will develop the BD budget to support the Group’s strategic objectives and tactical plans. This will be a varied and rewarding role that is dependent on building good relationships and will include bids, CRM, campaign management, content and profile raising.
You will need a proven track record of driving successful business development initiatives within an international law firm or professional services organisation, with a specialised focus on the finance sector desired, to include demonstrable success in leading bids and pitches to secure new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the finance legal environment, and will also exhibit a continuous learning mindset and innate curiosity to stay updated on industry trends and developments. The Business Development Manager will have an innate ability to influence and negotiate at all levels of an organisation, excellent leadership and communication skills and exceptional project management skills, enabling effective management of multiple responsibilities amidst competing priorities, tight deadlines and evolving business dynamics.
