Job Description:
Interim HR Officer Position: Interim HR Officer
Pay: £14.50-16.50 per hour
Location: Central Oxford (Hybrid - 2/3 days in the office maximum)
Duration: 2-3 month assignment starting in January 2025
Reed HR are pleased to be supporting an educational establishment with an interim requirement for a HR Officer, to join them for a period of 2-3 months. Reporting to the HR Manager, you will work within a team of three to provide an effective HR service to the organisation, acting as the first point of contact on any day to day people matters.
Responsibilities
*Advise line managers and staff on HR matters, using appropriate communication methods.
*Provide administrative support, including note-taking at formal meetings and supporting HR projects.
*Manage recruitment processes, including job advertisements, shortlisting, and visa documentation.
*Administer casual worker processes and prepare standard HR documents.
*Plan and conduct induction sessions for new staff.
*Monitor and maintain personnel records, ensuring GDPR compliance.
*Ensure compliance with payroll procedures and Home Office regulations for visas.
To be considered, you ideally will have:
*Previous experience within an administratively focused HR position, as HR Administrator, Assistant, Coordinator or Officer.
*HR experience in higher education.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems
*Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and data protection.
