Position: Director of Excellence: Maths and Science
Basis: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: L7-L11 (£57,831 to £63,815 p/a)
Start Date: ASAP
Reed Education Southampton are currently looking to recruit a dynamic and ambitious leader to support the Principal, staff and students at a large Secondary school based in Southampton, to deliver ’Excellence by all, for all”.
The school is an improving school and is part of a highly successful multi-academy trust. The school aim to become an outstanding school where pupils are proud, confident and self-aware, and are determined to do their very best. The school aim to provide an exciting and engaging curriculum to keep pupils enthused by the subjects.
At the school, the Mathematics and Science curriculum is deliberately ambitious and at the heart of the Academy’s educational provision. It is designed to provide all students with the knowledge and cultural capital they need to succeed in life.
As the Director of Excellence, you will be responsible for delivering significantly improved progress in the core subject area of Mathematics and Science supported by a passionate and highly capable team.
For this role, you will be/will need:
*Qualified Teacher Status with degree in Maths or Science subject
*Evidence of recent, relevant professional development
*Excellent teaching experience and a proven track record of success in improving outcomes in Mathematics or Science
*Ability to use data effectively to set targets and improve behaviour and attendance
*Good personal skills, able to work hard and remain fully committed, even when under pressure
