Job Description:
Our client, a long-established manufacturer & supplier of pressed & assembled components to a multitude of industrial sectors is seeking a talented Quality/Process Improvement Engineer to join their Production Engineering team.
The company has a solid financial footing and has seen significant investment over recent years, reflecting the ambition of the company owners.
Key duties include:
*Maintaining the Company Quality System
*Establishing, Implementing & Maintaining Quality awareness across sites
*Responsible for Continual Improvement activities to enhance the products and environment
*First & Last off Inspection
*Work with Cross Functional teams to Generate Manufacturing Inspection Test Plans
*Develop and Introduce SOP for Key Products
*Complete ISIR & PPAP
*Analyze Root Causes and Implement Corrective actions for Processes or parts that have concerns
*Continuously Improving Quality Procedures
*Prepare Regular Improvement reports for the Group Quality Manager
Knowledge and Skills:
*Previous experience in a Production Engineering environment and in a Quality / Inspection Role
*Good Knowledge of SPC
*Good Practical use of measuring equipment and measuring techniques
*Capable of making independent decisions, whilst being appreciative of other departments
*Excellent computer skills including Word & Excel
*Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
*Attention to detail
*Flexible and Trustworthy
