Job Description:
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a new Student Support Officer to join our OnCampus London (Birkbeck & LSBU) centres.
Based at the OnCampus London centres, the Student Support Officer performs a key role in ensuring an excellent student experience and will be actively involved in the student engagement agenda. As well as being a point of contact with OnCampus Central Admission colleagues in Cambridge, Sales and Marketing teams and the admissions offices of the partner university.
The primary function of the post will be to support the administration of the student journey from pre-arrival to progression. This involves pre-arrival information, enrolment, induction and visa maintenance processes.
A key part of the role will be ensuring adherence to a variety of external regulations from the relevant immigration authority (for example UKVI), academic authority (for example QAA) and the partner university, in respect of compliance processes, data management and safeguarding.

Other activities as a Student Support Officer at our OnCampus London centres:
* To play a key role in the coordination of induction and lead on enrolment of students at the start of term.
* To provide a focused and high level of customer service.
* Ensuring existing students are actively engaged in the ONCAMPUS experience through the organisation of social and cultural activities to enhance student experience ensuring opportunities are communicated to students on an ongoing basis.
* To support the OnCampus Finance Team in management of student finances in accordance with OnCampus processes.
* Liaise with University association and other University departments to promote and encourage social, cultural, sports activities and events to students ensuring they are aware of activities, for example via social media.
* Coordinate accommodation requests (if required), in cooperation with local University team, OnCampus Pre-arrival team and available private providers.
* To process visa-related documentation and procedures for the OnCampus centre, in cooperation with colleagues at the University and OnCampus Central Compliance & Admissions Teams, to adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
* Managing the centre’s reporting system for compliance matters
Key aspects we will be looking for:
* HND or equivalent experiential learning
* UKCISA or other training related to visa rules and regulations (desirable)
* Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment
* Experience of providing customer support
* Experience of working with data
* Experience of working with International students (desirable)
* Experience of working in an admissions or visa advisory capacity (desirable)
* IT literate
* Ability to plan workloads and meet deadlines
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Attention to detail
* Ability to keep accurate records and to track information
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - verbal, written and electronic
