Quality Control Technician
Location: Corby
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off nights
Salary: £30,500

About the Role
As a Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that our factory consistently meets customer expectations by maintaining high-quality standards across all production areas. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organized individual who enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively with teams across the factory.
Key Responsibilities:
*Inspect finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
*Perform on-line quality checks and report any non-conformities to the production team and Quality Manager.
*Verify operators’ paperwork and checks for accuracy.
*Ensure goods and materials are correctly identified at all stages of production.
*Assist the QC team with customer return inspections.
*Conduct routine material testing, including tensile and dart tests.
*Update production records for specific customer requirements.
*Complete test reports and necessary documentation.
*Carry out safety and compliance checks, including Fire Alarm tests and weekly hygiene/locker inspections.
*Report and address any non-conformance with BRC standards.
*Communicate effectively with colleagues to uphold quality and compliance standards.
What You’ll Need:
*Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures and micrometres.
*Basic math skills and the ability to read instructions in English (Entry Level 2 or above).
*Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
*Strong organizational and time management skills.
*A positive attitude and flexibility to adapt to dynamic workloads.
*The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
*Excellent communication skills.
Training will be provided for testing machines (e.g., tensile and dart testing).
