Contract Role - Network Infoblox Engineer - London/Hybrid
We are seeking 02 highly skilled Network Engineers with strong Infoblox DNS expertise to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Infoblox administration, support and automation, as well as proficiency in deploying, managing and upgrading complex network infrastructures.
Role Overview:
• Job Title: Network Infoblox Engineer
• Location: London/ Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)
• Contract Type: Contract
• Duration: 06 - 12 months initially
• Sector: Banking
Infoblox/DNS Support Specialist/Engineer (SME) - responsible for the management, support and optimisation of DNS, DHCP and IP Address Management (IPAM) infrastructure. The role ensures the availability, security and performance of Infoblox systems, supporting business-critical operations and contributing to the efficient functioning of network infrastructure projects.
This position requires a strong technical background in Infoblox and associated technologies, combined with a solid understanding of broader networking concepts to support integration and troubleshooting across systems.
The role also demands excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to work effectively with IT and network teams in delivering scalable and resilient solutions.
*Proven experience with Infoblox and DDI solutions.
*Strong understanding of network protocols and security, particularly in relation to DNS.
*Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Networking Fundamentals
*TCP/IP Protocol Suite: Understanding of how DNS, DHCP, and IPAM operate within the wider network stack.
*Subnetting and CIDR: Knowledge of IP address allocation and planning.
*VLANs and Routing: Awareness of network segmentation and routing protocols.
*Firewall and Proxy Integrations: Understanding DNS in secure environments.
Security Technologies and Protocols
*DNSSEC: Secure DNS configurations to prevent spoofing and cache poisoning.
*Threat Intelligence: Integration with tools like Infoblox Threat Insight or Cisco Umbrella.
*DDoS Protection: Awareness of mitigation strategies (e.g., Akamai or Cloudflare).
*Access Control: Role-based access management for DNS systems.
Monitoring and Automation
*Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with tools like SolarWinds, Dynatrace etc
*Banking/ Financial Services background is a plus.
