Our client is a commercially led and highly regarded consumer product business, based in Newcastle with a global presence.
The role
The role of Senior Global Category Manager (Product) will play an integral part in the future growth of the brand, owning the strategic direction and driving the commercial agenda for products on a global basis.
This is a highly commercial position, where the main focus of the role will be to develop compelling rolling 3-year product marketing strategies, whilst managing a small team.
You will be exposed to the senior leadership team in a business critical role.
Responsibilities
• Create and own the global product strategies and commercial P&Ls
• You will be commercially accountable globally
• Track the global competitive landscape and identify product opportunities for category growth
• Understand consumer and competitor insights
• Contribute to 3 year strategic plan of NPD development, manage the product life cycle
About you
You will have at least 5-10 years’ senior level Marketing experience in FMCG or Consumer Products and proven capability of delivering incremental category growth and profitability strategies.
Your skills will include in-depth knowledge and experience of product and category, with focus on analysis of consumer insights, market purchasing & trend data and fact-based data projections.
You will have both a creative and analytical mindset as product conception is key to this role, as well as being data driven and used to working in a commercial environment.
