Job Description:
About the Role:
Our client is looking for a Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of a large-scale web and IT migration project across all sales channels, including website, contact centre, and retail stores.
The role requires someone who can sit between the Steering Committee and the project team, taking full ownership of key deliverables and ensuring the successful execution of the project. You will not be expected to have a deep technical background, but an understanding of the technical aspects of the project is crucial to ensure smooth delivery. You will be the "glue" that holds everything together and ensures timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:
*Take full responsibility for key project deliverables, managing all aspects of the migration and re-platforming project.
*Lead and facilitate daily standups, meetings, and project updates with teams.
*Ensure regular reporting and tracking of project progress, with exposure to senior leadership and the project board.
*Provide strategic guidance to the project team and steer the direction of the migration, especially focusing on both technical and business change aspects.
*Work closely with the Steering Committee to ensure that project timelines, resources, and goals are adhered to.
*Manage stakeholder relationships, particularly around business change and technology implementation.
*Document and manage new process changes effectively.
*Provide expert guidance on technical and business aspects, ensuring all requirements are met.
Requirements:
*Proven experience in overseeing complex migration projects, in the retail/ecommerce sector. You must have experience with migrations and re-platforming.
*A strong understanding of retail operations, including sales channels like e-commerce, contact centres, and physical stores.
*Strong skills in managing both technical and non-technical stakeholders, with experience in business change.
*Experience with agile project management, preferably with a strong grasp of the agile delivery model.
*While not expecting you to have a development background, you should have a solid understanding of the technical elements of the project to ensure all deliverables are met.
*Proven track record of leading teams and delivering complex projects successfully.
*Ability to set up and drive regular reporting to keep all parties aligned, with board-level exposure.
This is an 18 month contract with on-site travel required 2-3 days per week.
