Job Description:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated, proactive and independent business development professional to join the supportive Business Development & Marketing team of a London based, specialist law firm.
The successful applicant will be joining at an exciting time for the firm, following the recent launch of a refreshed brand and a new website which are an important part of an ambitious marketing and business development strategy. You will be instrumental in bringing the brand to life, by supporting the firm to build closer connections with contacts and clients and delivering exceptional results through your business development initiatives. The firm are seeking a dynamic and creative Business Development and Marketing Manager to support their growing Dispute Resolution practice. You will be responsible for driving business development initiatives for the commercial and corporate disputes, trust and estate disputes, and family teams. With shared resource from a BD and Marketing Assistant and Executive, as well as specialists in digital marketing and events, you will have the autonomy to drive forward ideas in a collaborative environment and will be encouraged to explore innovative approaches to developing business leads and profile raising for the practice. Working closely with the Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager, you will develop and implement an overarching marketing and business development strategy for the Dispute Resolution practice, that feeds into individual plans for each team. Working with partners and fee earners to initiate and drive forward business development initiatives that will enhance the reputation of the practice and grow relationships with target clients and intermediaries, you will be responsible for coordinating and providing strategic advice on the preparation of pitches, proposals and presentations for potential clients and will be expected to champion and encourage cross-selling of services across the firm and work with other key practice areas, particularly Private Wealth and Corporate, to collaborate on joint BD initiatives and leverage mutual contacts. On the marketing side, the role holder will create and execute marketing campaigns to promote the firm’s dispute resolution services making use of the full marketing toolkit including digital, events and thought leadership content and will coordinate the annual directories process, as well as submissions for other relevant rankings, listings and awards.
A strong team player with a client service orientation, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in business development and marketing, ideally gained in a professional services or regulated environment. Organised and detailed oriented with good project management skills, the Business Development and Marketing Manager will possess a good knowledge of media, digital marketing and martech platforms, including websites social media platforms and associated analytics, and will be a strategic thinker with experience of marketing litigation services to a wide variety of clients.
