Reed Accountancy are excited to be working with a lovely Bath based business who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

Responsibilities:
*Manage the complete cycle of accounts payable from initiating payments to suppliers.
*Oversee the accounts receivable process, including logging purchase orders and issuing sales invoices.
*Ensure accurate and timely submission and recording of receipts for company expense card payments.
*Maintain and update prepayment and fixed asset spreadsheets and perform regular bank reconciliations.
*Process sales invoices and ensure they are correctly uploaded to various client portals.
*Handle VAT processing, ensure accurate transaction recording for VAT purposes, and submit quarterly VAT returns.
*Assist the Head of Finance with month-end closing procedures and the creation of financial reports.
*Propose methods to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
*Provide support to the client services team by ensuring effective use of project management software and resolving financial discrepancies.
*Administer the payroll process, coordinate employee benefits, and manage both employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
*Maintain precise employee records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Skills & Attributes:
*Demonstrated experience in a similar bookkeeping or financial role.
*AAT qualifications or at least 1 years’ experience in accounts
*Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
*Excellent organizational and time management skills.
*Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of professionally managing stakeholder relationships.
*Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial management software.
