Job Description:

I’m looking for an experienced Temporary Works Designer to join my tier 1 clients on a long term design contract for a new rail bridge for Network Rail. The selected candidate will be responsible for producing safe and cost-effective temporary works designs, in accordance with company procedures. Network Rail experience is desired.
This is a remote role where you will need to travel into London on occasion for meetings.
Inside of IR35 - PAYE via Umbrella.
Roles and responsibilities:
*Produce temporary works designs in accordance with programme, budget and technical requirements
*Liaison with on-site Temporary Work Co-ordinators
*Manage both electronic and paper filing systems
*Ensuring the relevant design checks are carried out and certified
*Manage drafting requirements and drawing issues
*Support the training of graduate engineers
*Liaise with the Permanent Works designers to resolve issues
*Adhere to the contractor policies and procedures
Candidate requirements:
*Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
*Experience working in a similar capacity with a tier 1 contractor
*Holds a CSCS card
