Key Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:
*Finance Inbox Management: Take charge of the finance inbox, responding to supplier queries with confidence.
*Supplier Invoice Processing: Input, review, and resolve discrepancies in supplier invoices, ensuring accurate payments.
*Bank Reconciliation: Perform weekly bank reconciliations across all company accounts, keeping everything in balance.
*Payroll Preparation: Gather and verify payroll data for submission to our external payroll company, while managing any payroll-related queries.
*Monthly Audits: Conduct regular audits on direct debits, standing orders, and general expenditure to ensure everything is in order.
*Collaboration: Work closely with the property management team to manage supply orders and reconcile cross-charging.
*Financial Reporting: Provide insightful reports and analysis of company accounts to the Accounts Manager.
*Utility Management: Monitor and reconcile utility accounts for company sites, addressing any discrepancies that arise.
*Payment Allocation & Income Monitoring: Ensure all income is correctly allocated, while chasing any outstanding payments and managing arrears.
During peak times, you’ll dive into a range of dynamic responsibilities, from conducting property inspections and overseeing maintenance to managing credit control, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
What you’ll bring as the Bookkeeper:
*Expertise with Xero: You’re highly proficient in using Xero accounting software.
*Strong Communication Skills: You’re clear, concise, and confident in both written and verbal communication.
*Hands-On Attitude: You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and take initiative, especially in fast-paced environments.
*Organizational Excellence: Your methodical approach and attention to detail enable you to juggle multiple tasks effortlessly.
*Calm Under Pressure: No matter how busy things get, you remain focused and composed.
*Flexibility: You’re happy to pitch in and help with various tasks across the team when needed.
*Relevant Qualifications: ICB or AAT qualifications are a bonus, but equivalent experience is welcomed!
