Planner - Stoke on Trent
Location: Stoke on Trent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role:
My client, a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy known for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions across environmental, planning, and engineering sectors, is seeking a Planner to join their team in Stoke on Trent. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring planner to develop their career and work on a diverse range of projects within a supportive and collaborative environment. The role offers the chance to contribute to planning applications, assessments, and strategic planning advice for a variety of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
*Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications and development proposals.
*Conduct research, site appraisals, and planning assessments to support projects.
*Provide advice on planning policy, land use, and development opportunities.
*Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure the progress of planning projects.
*Support senior planners in delivering projects from inception to completion.
*Prepare reports and documentation to meet planning requirements and regulations.
*Stay up-to-date with current planning legislation and policy.
Requirements:
*A degree in Town Planning or a related field.
*Ideally, MRTPI (Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute) status or working towards it.
*Some experience in town planning, either through education or previous work experience.
*Good knowledge of planning legislation and policy.
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
*Ability to work effectively within a team as well as independently.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen interest in planning.
