Position Details: Location: Bradford
Contract: Temporary-to-Permanent
Pay Rate: £150 - £223 per day (UPS rates available for suitable candidates)
Essential Requirements: *QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
*Proven experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is advantageous, but not essential).
*Eligibility to work in the UK.
*A passion for English and a commitment to nurturing students’ creativity and critical thinking.
*An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
Skills: *Strong communication skills to engage students and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
*Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
*Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
*In-depth subject knowledge and expertise in delivering engaging English lessons.
*Familiarity with safeguarding protocols and best practices.
*Creative thinking and the ability to differentiate lessons to cater to all learning styles.
*Strong classroom management skills, fostering a safe and respectful learning environment.
*Initiative and a proactive approach to teaching.
*Ability to provide constructive feedback to students and parents on progress.
Key Responsibilities: *Plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
*Foster a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students.
*Provide detailed, constructive feedback to help students meet and exceed their targets.
*Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages every student to thrive.
*Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to curriculum development and extracurricular activities.
*Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to support student success.
*Use formative and summative assessments to track student progress and plan next steps.
*Tailor lessons to meet the individual needs of all students, ensuring accessibility for learners of all abilities.
*Set and mark homework, providing timely and effective feedback.
