Job Title: Management Accountant / Finance Manager
Contract: 12-13-month FTC
Salary: £45,000
Hybrid: 3 days in office // 2 days from home
Location: Bristol
Start Date: ASAP
Edward Mann are currently recruiting for a Maternity Cover (12/13 month FTC) Management Accountant / Finance Manager on behalf of a FMCG based in Bristol.
Our client is able to offer hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days from home.
Key Responsibilities:
Daily Tasks
*Download and process transactions in Sage.
*Manage bank feeds and reconcile bank accounts in Sage.
*Import and reconcile i-Zettle transactions in Sage and Excel.
*Maintain and update the bank reconciliation and cash flow spreadsheets.
Weekly Tasks
*Import sales data from Deliveroo, Uber, Just Eat, and Orderswift into Sage (including VAT adjustments).
*Conduct cash reconciliations, comparing ABI data against Sage records.
*Investigate and resolve discrepancies with AM accounts.
*Input invoices received via paper and email.
*Update and maintain the cost of sales spreadsheet, including adjustments for cost increases and monthly figures from suppliers.
*Send petty cash data for reconciliation and chase missing receipts or claims.
*Process weekly payments for Bako and Propertea.
*Manage invoices and gather financial data from specific clients or stores.
Monthly Tasks
*Process and pay monthly rents.
*Handle supplier payments.
*Pay CSA/attachments and HMRC.
*Prepare for stock takes, including creating and printing relevant reports.
*Verify posted invoices against statements.
*Record transactions for AIRPLUS statements and interest on reserve accounts.
*Process VAT recovery and VAT scale charge journals.
*Prepare accruals, prepayments, and stock take adjustment journals.
*Generate gross margin figures, cap-ex details, and departmental P&Ls.
*Record depreciation for MI purposes.
Random/Ad Hoc Tasks
*Complete ONS surveys when requested.
*Update rates and water direct debit entries in Sage and spreadsheets.
*Handle valuation office tasks as they arise.
