Job Description:
We are delighted to be working on behalf of one of the longest-established law firms in East Anglia, who are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary within their friendly Wills & Probate team.
Skills & Experience:
*Proven Legal Secretarial experience gained from a professional law firm, with a good understanding of Wills & Probate
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Excellent computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office, document management and legal document production software
*Organised with a flexible approach to work
*Exceptional problem-solving abilities
*Audio typing skills (desirable)
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
*Providing effective and efficient secretarial support to the Wills & Probate team
*Keeping Records up to date and general filing (both paper & electronic documents).
*Archiving Files.
*Typing up Legal Documents, including transcribing audio dictation, correspondence, emails, and all other like documents.
*Answering the phone and making a documented record.
*Organising diaries and making appointments for fee earner(s).
*Receiving "On Account" payments from Clients and referring these to accounts department.
*Informing accounts department of any Client changes.
*Generally finalising matters and obtain edger printouts before closing file.
*Covering reception as and when required.
