Overview
SPEC Engineering Ltd is an American company and we are setting up our UK offices in Leatherhead, Surrey.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Manager to oversee our technology infrastructure and lead our IT function in setting up and delivering high-quality support and solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in network support, software development, and system management. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to analyse all IT issues while implementing effective strategies to enhance our IT operations.
Responsibilities
*Oversee daily IT requirements across the UK Site
*Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks
*Set up and maintain company Intranet and Sharepoint
*Maintain IT Licensing requirements
*Monitor and maintain IT assets and information security
*Assist with leading and training staff on IT related topics
*Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure.
*Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
*Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap
*Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company
*Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
*Manage and maintain positive working relationships with external providers ensuring cost effectiveness
*Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components
*Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
*Communicate with management team on IT related issues
Experience
*Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
*A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management
*Strong teamwork and communication skills
*Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
*Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
*Experience with network administration
*Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
*Experience with terminal base computers
