Job Description:
Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts; as a part of our ongoing success in building and retaining relationships with many schools and academy trusts in the area we are currently looking for a Geography Teacher in a Secondary School in Hoddesdon. The school are looking for a Geography Teacher to start in January 2025 for an ongoing supply role that has the potential to be made permanent. It is a full time role, which includes planning, marking and reporting across all year groups.
The vision of this secondary school is to inspire a passion for learning in all students and allow every student to flourish in their future lives. The school are looking for staff who can bring their passion for teaching and make an impact in the school.
Geography Teacher Role:
*Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography curriculum
*Organised and professional maintenance of the classroom and the associated resources
*Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
*Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
*Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
*Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Geography Teacher Requirements:
*Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in Secondary School
*Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Geography Teacher
*Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
*A relevant Geography related degree is desirable.
*SEND experience is desirable
