Job Description:
Job Title: Quality Coordinator
Location: Ashford (on-site, no hybrid)
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:
*Support the Technical Manager in maintaining top-tier food safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
*Manage databases and ensure all technical information is logged accurately and efficiently.
*Conduct regular inspections of raw materials and finished products, ensuring they meet all necessary specifications.
*Assist in auditing production paperwork and CCP documentation to maintain top-quality standards.
*Lead internal audits such as GMP, fabrication, and packaging to support continuous improvement.
*Collaborate with third-party contractors and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
*Investigate and help resolve customer complaints related to product quality.
*Perform equipment calibration (e.g., probes, scales) and help generate accurate Certificates of Analysis.
*Assist with environmental swabs, allergen testing, and sample preparation for laboratory analysis.
*Contribute to QMS documentation updates and process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
*Minimum Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 2 certification.
*At least 3 years’ experience in a quality or technical role within a food manufacturing environment.
*Proficient in MS Office and able to manage technical databases effectively.
*A solid understanding of microbiology, quality assurance, and food safety practices.
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
*Flexible and proactive, with excellent organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
