Job Description:
Stock Controller *Location: North Tyneside
*Job Type: Full-time
A new role opened up due to expansion within the business. Our client is open to seeing candidates who are either highly or experienced OR a graduate with at least 2 years post experience within a similar role.
Job Duties: *Oversee daily fleet operations on-site, coordinating with all departments to ensure needs are met and production remains uninterrupted.
*Develop and manage processes to maintain smooth and safe vehicle operations, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards.
*Assess and recommend new equipment purchases, justify these investments to optimize performance and reduce downtime.
*Monitor fleet expenditure, make decisions based on long-term financial projections, and present cost-saving strategies.
*Analyze fuel and fleet usage, implementing innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize performance.
*Collaborate closely with the maintenance team to schedule and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and continuous operation.
*Support the Transport Manager by collecting daily information and adjusting the site transport plan as needed.
Skills & Qualifications: *Experience in material planning, production planning, or logistics coordination.
*Effective communication skills across various departments.
*Background in engineering, manufacturing, or construction is advantageous.
*Self-starter with a proactive approach to information gathering.
*Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
*Interest in learning site operations to understand departmental needs thoroughly.
*Safety and quality-driven mindset.
*Familiarity with industrial vehicles and relevant legislation is preferable.
*IPAF and IOSH certifications are desirable but not essential.
*Degree level qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
