Job Description:
Are you an experienced Finance professional with a proactive approach? Do you have a solid background in preparing and presenting monthly accounts?
Juice is delighted to support an innovative employer with a unique global offering in their search for a new Finance and HR Manager. This role would be 100% home based with periodic meetings in the Bath area and quarterly company meetings in London or the Midlands.
This is a new role and has arisen due to growth. This role reports into the Financial Director and spans financial accountability and operations HR support ensuring both areas are functioning efficiently.
This role is offered on a part time basis of around 25-30 hours per week
DAY TO DAY:
Line management of finance assistant, overseeing functions such as payment runs and credit control
Preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly group accounts to the FD
Helping with annual budgeting and forecasting
Preparing quarterly VAT returns and managing anomalies
Overseeing VAT registration requirements outside of UK
Working with external auditor to prepare all year end reporting requirements
Compilation of monthly payroll details to submit to FD & regulatory compliance to cover HMRC, VAT and corporation task
Acting as go to point of contact and Business Partner to budget holders, meeting to guide and discuss budgets, ensuring balance sheets are fully reconciled at all times
Assisting FD with recruitment to include refining job specs, posting adverts, liaising with 3rd parties,
Ensuring smooth onboarding for new starters, co-ordinating inductions, appraisals, objective setting and performance, assisting with employee development plans and coordinating training and development
Maintaining employee records, ensuring compliance, monitoring absence, holiday and sick leave in line with policy
Administering and updating all employee benefits, including pension schemes, ensuring changes are communicated correctly
Supporting employee engagement initiatives, gathering feedback forms
WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE:
Proven ability to deliver monthly financial reporting and managing of transactional finance
Experience of working within an SME, ability to adapt and change direction where needed
Good knowledge of Excel, pivot tables, and ideally Xero
Great communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
