A college in Derby is seeking a dedicated Adult English Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. The role involves covering afternoon and evening classes, teaching Functional Skills English Entry 3 and Level 2 to adult learners across three different locations.
Day-to-day of the role: *Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to adult learners at Entry 3 and Level 2.
*Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
*Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
*Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance teaching methods and participate in professional development activities.
*Ensure a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications: *Must hold a teaching qualification.
*Level 2 qualification in Maths.
*Level 3 qualification in English.
*Current DBS on the update service.
*Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English at Entry 3 and Level 1.
*Strong organisational and communication skills.
*Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learner needs.
