Job Description:
We are working alongside a vibrant and forward-thinking school in Berkshire who are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join their school. This is a full-time position starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons in Science, with a focus on Chemistry, to students across Key Stages 3-5.
*Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities and learning styles.
*Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
*Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to develop and refine curriculum content.
*Participate in extracurricular activities and events that promote the love of Science.
*Maintain a safe and stimulating classroom environment, adhering to school policies on health and safety.
*Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
Requirements
*A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
*A degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
*Experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stages 4 and 5 is highly desirable.
*A passion for Science and the ability to inspire enthusiasm in students.
*Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of behavior.
*Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
*A proactive approach to professional development and a willingness to contribute to the broader school community.
