Job Description:
An ’Good’ rated school in Southampton is seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their school on a long-term supply basis. This exciting opportunity comes with the potential for a permanent position starting in January 2025.
Key Responsibilities *Plan and Deliver High-Quality Lessons: Teach engaging and comprehensive Maths lessons to students aged 11-16 (Key Stages 3 and 4).
*Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment that fosters academic success and good behaviour.
*Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of all learners.
*Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to develop curriculum plans and contribute to the wider school community.
*Support Student Development: Inspire a love of learning, encourage critical thinking, and help students achieve their full potential.
Requirements *Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Recognised teaching qualification in the UK.
*Experience: Previous experience teaching Maths at the secondary level is desirable. Newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are welcome to apply.
*Subject Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the Maths curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
*Enhanced DBS Check: Must have a current or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
*Availability: Willingness to commit to a long-term supply role with the possibility of a permanent contract.
