Job Description:
Sales Manager - Freight Forwarding (Air and Sea, Time Critical, Customs Bonded Warehousing and UK Warehousing)
National role - Home Base with a need to travel to the West Midlands once a week
Salary up to C: £60K (Inclusive of Car Allowance) plus excellent Commission
Our client is a major player in the International and UK Distribution Market with an end to end Logistics offering and a large number of branches across the UK.
Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team.
*Driving growth of the business to new customers
*Generating new leads and maintaining a healthy pipeline
*Effectively communicate with potential new customers to drive both continued revenue, profit growth and increased engagement
*A proven ability to put the customer’s requirements at the heart of what we do, striving to deliver high quality customer service at all times
*Build and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, quickly addressing their needs and ensuring any issues and challenges are resolved swiftly
*Communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations
*Negotiating and finalising contracts with prospective customers
*Visiting customer/potential customers to promote the company services
*Coordinating sales efforts with marketing campaigns
*Understanding and promoting the company strategy
*Establishing key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider sector
*Developing a deep understanding of the customers’ business including group and extended opportunities, competitive influences on the business, networking
*Ensuring potential customers are aware of the latest solutions.
*Identifying cross-functional service/product opportunities
*Work with operations and project teams to ensure swift and high quality onboarding of customers
*Work with the Business Development team to transfer customers into the portfolio management process
*Manage multiple commercial processes (budgets, contract renegotiation, KPI measurement), forecasting precisely, and identifying the solutions we can offer resulting in a positive commercial outcome
Preferred skills & experience
*Proven and successful track record of B2B sales and business development in the logistics industry
*Demonstrable achievements in a similar role within the logistics market
*Proven ability of generating new business opportunities within the logistics marketplace through increased engagement and identifying opportunities
*Strong understanding of working collaboratively across functions to achieve success
*Experience of working within a fast paced, high growth logistics environment
*Maintain an entrepreneurial approach
*Customer and service focused
*Self motivated with a positive and enthusiastic manner
*Must have a ’Can Do Attitude’ and a desire to improve
*Be a finisher
*Must be able to resolve and prioritise conflicting requirements
*Able to identify improvements and see those improvements though to implementation
