Job Description:
Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
Location: West Yorkshire
Pay: £25 - £40 per hour including holiday pay (TEMP) / £29,638 - £36,349 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Duration: Part-Time or Full-Time / Temporary or Permanent / Possibly to a permanent contract.
Reed - Further Education are seeking Mechanical Engineering Lecturers to teach on Level 3 Engineering Courses. This will be with post 16 students.
We are looking for anyone who can teach in the following areas:
*General Mechanical Engineering
*CNC & Machining
*CAD / CAM
*Fabrication & Welding
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer?
*Plan and deliver high-quality Engineering lessons to learners at Level 2 and Level 3 level.
*Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the needs of learners
*Assess and provide feedback on student progress
*Support learners in achieving their educational goals
*Ensure compliance with all college policies and procedures
*Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
*Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
*PGCE / Cert Ed / PTLLS or other teaching qualification
*At least L3 in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
*Recent experience of working in the industry
*Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum
*Exceptional verbal /written communication and interpersonal skills
*Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience of utilising a range of teaching practices to enhance learner journey and progression
