We are excited to be working with an innovative, growing business based in Birmingham. This creative business are well established in their field and continue to grow. They are now looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who’s experienced in accounts, enjoys a range of tasks across the function and is driven to grow their knowledge. If you’re ready to contribute to a busy, collaborative environment and help ensure smooth financial operations, we’d love to hear from you!
This position comes with an annual salary of up to £29,000.
Key Responsibilities:
*Perform daily bank reconciliations to ensure all records are up to date and accurate.
*Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices.
*Take charge of credit control, working proactively to resolve any payment issues.
*Manage purchasing and ensure accurate invoicing, with approvals from the Finance Manager.
*Liaise with subcontractors on an ad-hoc basis to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
*Process company expenses and credit cards.
*Support with process improvement and reviews.
Candidate Experience, Skills and Attributes:
*Proven experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar position.
*Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential and familiarity with the Xero accounting system is desirable.
*A can-do attitude with excellent problem-solving and organisational skills.
*Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.
*Ability to collaborate across departments, ensuring the smooth running of the finance team.

*Annual salary up to £29,000 dependant on experience.
