Job Description:
This role is based at a Global, industry leading Energy Technology company within their modern research facility in Cambridge. You will be a creative and highly motivated scientist to join our team developing new technologies and advanced materials for the sustainable mineral extraction / water treatment spaces.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
*Write a literature review around electrodialysis and electrical capture of lithium ions.
*Design & perform experiments, analyse and interpret experimental data.
*Lead, supported by the project supervisor, development of and novel research into new technology in the mineral extraction / water treatment spaces.
*Publish in scientific journals, write patent applications, present to stakeholders, attend conferences & customer / collaborator meetings.
Qualifications and competencies:
*PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
*Research experience in Flowing Electrochemistry, electrochemical technologies, such as electrolysers, fuel cells, flow batteries, electrodialysis or similar.
*OR: Research experience in desalination, hydrometallurgy, water treatment, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, brine processing, mineral extraction, ion separation, membrane separation, or similar.
*Experience with the design and construction of experimental rigs for fluids research.
