Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Packaging Developer to join their business.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a role in an expanding area of food manufacturing. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Create and develop innovative packaging materials for both new and existing products, ensuring they meet project briefs and business standards.
* Oversee the entire artwork process, liaising with customers and suppliers to ensure seamless and accurate execution.
* Act as the primary point of contact for customer packaging inquiries and sample requests, providing exceptional support and solutions.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers, ensuring best practices and competitive pricing for packaging materials.
* Maintain accurate and timely retailer online data information related to packaging, ensuring compliance and up-to-date records.
* Conduct thorough trials and tests on all new packaging before production, ensuring high-quality and timely implementation.
* Stay updated on packaging innovations and sustainability trends, ensuring compliance with new packaging legislation and integrating best practices.
* Manage and update the company MRP bills of material for finished goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the system.
* Assist the Commercial and NPD teams with various packaging-related projects and administrative tasks, contributing to overall business goals.
* Attend webinars, conferences, and training courses to stay at the forefront of packaging developments and industry standards
About you:
* Food manufacturing experience is required
* Confident in working with internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks
