Job Description:
Our clients, a £15m subsidiary of a world-leading pharmaceutical group, are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic, forward-thinking organisation while advancing your career in finance.
Key Responsibilities
*Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including detailed commentary and performance comparisons against budget and prior year.
*Produce journals, accruals, prepayments, deferred costs/income, and balance sheet reconciliations.
*Assist in preparing statutory accounts and support external audit processes.
*Manage project revenue recognition processes, collaborating closely with project managers.
*Maintain the fixed asset register and record acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.
*Oversee intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliations and file management.
*Support managers in budget preparation and monitoring, providing expert advice and analysis to help manage budgets effectively.
*Respond to finance-related queries from stakeholders across the business.
*Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance system automation.
*Act as a mentor to junior finance team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
*Process online banking transactions.
About You:
*A Part Qualified Accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
*2+ years’ experience in finance, with proficiency in and Excel.
*Strong analytical, communication, and time-management skills.
*A team player with a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
