Royalties Manager | Independent Record Label | London
Harmonic are delighted to be partnering with one of the most well renowned Record Label Groups, known for their ground-breaking work in the Independent music sector, searching for a Royalties Manager in an exciting new period for the business.
The Business:
The business has a turnover of around £50 million and have multiple global offices, with over 120 people based in the UK. Our client have remained financially strong and through innovative new business strategies it has continued to scale. They have a fantastically dynamic and sociable work environment, where you’ll be surrounded by people who are incredibly passionate about music. Due to an increased international presence after the acquisition of multiple labels in Europe, there is a fantastic opportunity to play a fantastic role in facilitating the growth of the business.
The Role:
Reporting into the Director of Royalties, this role will take primary responsibility for the day to day running of the royalties function, along with the processing and distribution of statements for the group. While scaling, the organisation is proud to have retained their values led culture, and is the perfect opportunity for candidates that are similarly motivated and love hands on roles in the music industry.
Covering duties across core royalties along with management reporting, there will be plenty of opportunities to lead on exciting projects to drive efficiencies through the business as well as providing key pieces of analysis. There will also be a lot of support given to the Royalties Director, gaining exposure to more senior duties aiding with learning and development, in line with their culture of internal growth opportunities.
Duties:
*Managing 2 direct reports to ensure accurate set-up and maintenance of client data and repertoire royalty conditions
*Managing large scale catalogue integrations
*Oversee collection and processing of all income streams such as physical, digital, neighbouring rights and third-party licensing income.
*Overseeing the processing and distributing of monthly label and bi-annual artist statements.
*Liaising with Business Affairs and Management to ensure accuracy with reporting.
*Leading the analysis of income and reporting streams
*Manage ad-hoc projects to improve efficiency of royalty process including analysis project on allocation of various income streams.
*Support the Royalties Director with general royalty and audit tasks.
*Build and sustain an efficient flow of royalty data to the Finance teams worldwide.
What we need to see (Essential):
*Processing royalties experience (3 years)
*Line management experience
*Royalty system implementation experience
What we need to see (Bonus):
*Record Maestro experience
Salary: up to £50,000 + great benefits package
