Consumer Additions has partnered with a global leader in the skincare cosmetics industry to find a Commercial Finance Analyst for a 6-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to join their team during a period of significant growth and transformation.
Job Purpose
The Commercial Finance Analyst will support the finance team in delivering actionable insights and strategic support. This includes financial analysis, budgeting, variance reviews, and working on projects to drive efficiency and profitability across various business units.
Key Responsibilities
*Partner with the Commercial Controllers and Accounting team to ensure alignment with budgets, and accurately allocate financial data to the correct P&L accounts and cost centers.
*Conduct detailed monthly reviews of sales, expenses, and profitability by store, channel, customer type, and product.
*Analyse company property costs across stores, warehouses, and head offices, and lead financial planning for future periods, including budgeting and reforecasting.
*Evaluate retail employee costs and productivity, providing variance analysis and collaborating with retail leaders to optimize performance.
*Prepare reports on retail and web discounts, including staff discounts.
*Facilitate physical stock counts with financial preparation, analyse post-stock take results, and support follow-up actions.
*Contribute to specific projects aimed at enhancing day-to-day business processes.
*Provide financial analysis of store operating and company travel expenses.
*Offer ad-hoc support to the Commercial Finance team and business as required.
What We Need From You
*A degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
*Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and data visualization.
*Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
*Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
*Proactive attitude with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
*A collaborative team player capable of working independently when necessary.
*Curiosity, openness, and responsiveness in approach to work.
