Job Description:
Stanton House is recruiting for a Senior Associate - Risk & Controls for a Fintech Business in London. The role offers a salary up to £83,000 plus bonus and great benefits. This is a London-based hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and the rest from home. This leading innovative Fintech Business has a commitment to collaboration and inclusivity and it continues to shape exceptional experiences for to their customers globally.
Responsibilities:
*Identify, evaluate and document financial risks across business units.
*Map and analyse customer flow controls to highlight risks, processes and impacts on financial statements.
*Conduct control testing to uncover gaps and implement remediation plans.
*Collaborate with Finance Risk and Controls Leads to address gaps and recommend improvements.
*Partner with finance and non-finance teams to strengthen financial reporting controls, building effective organisational relationships.
*Work with finance teams to enhance control designs, incorporating automation where possible.
*Support audits by providing documentation and explaining financial controls and processes.
*Track and manage Finance Risk and Control findings, ensuring timely completion of audit actions and risk mitigation.
To be suitable for this role, you must have the following:
*Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA or equivalent) with 4 years PQE.
*Eager to deepen knowledge of fintech operations.
*Experienced in managing audit fieldwork and serving as a key client contact.
*Proactive problem-solver, ready to take ownership and tackle challenges hands-on.
*Understands balancing risk and controls to support business growth.
*Effective team player in multinational environments, driving impact through collaboration.
*Motivated to learn and grow within a fast-paced fintech scale-up.
