Accounts Payable Assistant - Basingstoke, Hampshire (onsite) - £23,000 - £26,000 + Study Support
FryerMiles is partnering with a leading engineering business based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, to recruit a Accounts Payable Assistant as the organisation continues to experience strong growth. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working in a small team, you will be responsible for all day to day processing of finance transactions as well as supporting with month end.
The duties of the Accounts Payable Assistant include:
*Manage Accounts Payable for two entities within the Group
*Purchase Requests
*Purchase Orders (PO’s)
*Invoice Approvals
*Processing of Invoices
*Statements
*Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with suppliers and your peers.
*Work closely with Senior Finance Assistant and Finance Manager to assist with annual leave / sickness cover, where applicable.
*Adhoc duties as requested from the Finance Manager and Group Head of Finance.
The successful Accounts Payable Assistant Assistant will:
*Accounts assistant with at least 6 months experience maintaining accounts payable ledger with a ’can do’ attitude
*Somone who wants to grow and develop within the Group of companies
*Used to working in a changing environment for a successful group of companies
*Knowledge of auto-enrolment and SAGE 50 Payroll, extremely beneficial
*SAGE 50 experience is essential
*Some basic knowledge of VAT/CIS
*High level of accuracy and good communication skills
