Future Prospects are working in partnership with the Children’s Bereavement Centre and are seeking a Fundraising and Marketing Manager to join their friendly, dedicated and supportive team, based out of offices in Newark, Nottinghamshire.
The Children’s Bereavement Centre is a well-established local charity, run by a committed team of people who are passionate about helping children and young people to cope with the grieving process of someone close.
This role is pivotal is ensuring the charity is able to drive sustainable income growth through effective fundraising and marketing across the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire area.
Key Responsibilities
*Fundraising: Develop and implement strategies to meet income targets across diverse revenue streams. Build corporate partnerships, manage donor relations, and oversee community engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards
*Team Leadership: Manage and support fundraising, events, and marketing staff, ensuring alignment with organisational goals
*Marketing: Create and execute marketing plans to enhance the charity’s visibility and supporter base. Oversee communications, branding, and digital media efforts
*Events: Plan, manage, and deliver successful fundraising events with support from staff and volunteers
*Administration: Monitor fundraising and marketing performance, maintain accurate records, and produce reports for the leadership team and the board
Candidate
We are looking for a someone with proven experience in fundraising or sales, with a track record of meeting and exceeding income targets.
The ideal candidate will also have:
*Strong relationship-building, communication, and leadership skills
*Experience of delivering projects and/or events on time and to budget
*Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and support event logistics
*Creative, flexible character and generator of new ideas
Due to the nature of this role, you would be required to be hands on in the setting up and closing of events which may entail some heavy moving and carrying. The successful Candidate will also require a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
Desirable
*Relevant qualifications in fundraising or marketing
*Experience working with or for small charities / volunteer management
*Digital marketing skills / social media management skills an advantage
*Previous experience maintaining websites and email marketing platforms (i.e. Mailchimp)
*Experience of working with volunteers and community groups
