Job Description:
Working for a group of privately owned companies, an exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a busy and dynamic finance team.
Job Overview
To be responsible for and prepare management accounts to draft trial balance stage for companies within the corporate group, supporting remote teams offsite. May be occasional travel (quarterly) to other group sites.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare month end Management Accounts to trial balance stage - produce and post variance journals, variance analysis, margin analysis.
*Review data with senior management and produce analysis as and when required to help drive performance
*Work with remote transactional processing team to ensure integrity and completeness of general ledger and all sub-ledgers
*General ledger reconciliations
*Responsible for the reconciliation of all intercompany balances and recharges.
*Assist with year-end audit queries.
*Flexible approach to any other ad hoc tasks.
Experience
*Essential GCSE’s (Grade A-C) or equivalent including English and Mathematics
*Qualified/part qualified desirable - ACCA, CIMA, AAT
*Demonstrable experience in a Finance office environment, especially around month end and year end processes
*Demonstrate experience of Management Accounts production.
*Demonstrate strong reconciliation skills.
*Knowledge/experience of group structures and subsidiaries beneficial
*Excellent data entry skills
*Experience of working in multi accounts systems - SAP Business One and Business Central experience would be beneficial
*Good working knowledge of databases and Microsoft packages
*Exceptionally high standards with meticulous attention to detail
*A flexible team player with the ability to work proactively
*Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
*A self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic ’can do’ attitude and a down to earth approachable manner
*A problem solver with the ability to assume responsibility and act on own initiative
*Customer focused.
Working hours - 36 ½ hours per week.
*08:30 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday
*08:30 - 16:00 Friday
