Job Description:
Senior Property Management Accountant
London
£60k-£70k + Hybrid Working (3:2)
The role: The role is responsible for the overall financial control and reporting for the UK real estate portfolio, including preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance and quarterly reporting.
Duties:
*Preparation of quarterly reporting including accruals and prepayments for UK assets.
*Performing monthly closing and quarterly preparation tasks in order to ensure an efficient close each quarter.
*Ensure financial statements and required tax returns are submitted on time.
*Managing progress and ensuring final outputs are recorded on the system.
*Review cash balances of the UK entities, advising and processing any quarterly interest payments and dividends.
*Review of tenant invoices raised by the Accounts Receivable team.
*Weekly review of the accounts receivable reports along with the Property Managers and internal Accounts Receivable team to ensure any outstanding invoices are paid.
*Reviewing and approving invoices on our invoice approval system.
*Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to review the AP report to ensure that it remains up to date and that any credit items are actioned
*Ensuring bank reconciliations are signed off on a monthly basis within five working days of month end.
*To ensure the UK acquisition funds flows are processed into the internal property accounting system.
*Handling any queries in regards to the UK portfolio.
*Liaising with auditors and responding to any queries on the UK jurisdiction.
*Train and coach staff to ensure processes are being followed minimising any errors
*Other ad hoc tasks and projects as designated by senior management team.
Requirements:
*Ideally qualified an accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA, though will consider part-qualified/finalist level candidates with very relevant experience.
*At least 4 years accounting experience within the real estate industry.
*???????Experienced in the use of Excel and ideally a property management system such as Yardi, MRI etc.
*Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels of seniority. Interpersonal skills are key.
*Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to strict timescales and under time pressure.
