Job Overview: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist with expertise in elderly care and orthopaedics to join the multidisciplinary team at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality occupational therapy services to elderly patients and those undergoing orthopaedic treatment, helping them achieve independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities: *Assess and deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions for elderly and orthopaedic patients.
*Manage a complex caseload of patients, ensuring patient-centered care.
*Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individual rehabilitation plans.
*Provide education and support to patients and their families on strategies for daily living.
*Contribute to service improvement initiatives and supervise junior staff.
Key Requirements: *Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
*HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
*Proven experience in elderly care and orthopaedic settings.
*Excellent communication, assessment, and organizational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
