The opportunity:
It’s an exciting time to join as the business grows, and we are looking for a versatile Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team, (3 days in the office / 2 days working from home). The role can be based at either our London, Leeds or Manchester office but will involve occasional travel as required.
The UK Marketing team is a high-performing, creative team dedicated to delivering innovative, tailored insurance solutions for over 1 million UK customers - ranging from tech providers to charities. As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we’re expanding to unlock exciting new opportunities. Now, we need an experienced and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to join our UK team. This is a unique opportunity to help create and drive integrated, always-on marketing campaigns across all delivery channels, making a significant impact on the company’s growth and success.
What you’ll be doing:
*Collaboration: You will work closely with the Channel Marketing Manager to implement the UK Broker marketing strategy aligned to business objectives
*Expertise: You will design, develop, and implement creative marketing campaigns to promote Markel’s products, services and brand through a full range of promotional activities, including PR, advertising, events, content, website, social media and e-marketing *Includes lead generation, retention, and attrition campaigns
*Project management of campaigns from creation to execution
*Creative ideas and guidance for marketing collateral

*Empowerment: You will work with the broader Marketing Services team and external partners to ensure the successful delivery of all campaign activation elements
*Budget Management: You will handle day-to-day marketing budget management of owned projects
*Measure & report: You will track performance through monthly reporting and analysis, providing valuable insights to senior leadership
*Ensure compliance: You will manage marketing activities in line with regulatory requirements
Our must haves:
*4+ years of marketing experience, ideally with a proven record of delivering multi-channel marketing activity
*Experience in implementing Marketing campaigns and extensive partner engagement skills
*Ability to manage end to end marketing activity
*Experience of working with third party agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality Marketing collateral
*Strong project management, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines and work on a number of projects at once
*Insurance or Financial Services background
*Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
*Marketing qualification (desirable)
