ROLE- Test & Development Engineer

LOCATION- Bristol

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £30,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Test & Development Engineer join their team in Bristol on a permanent basis.

The Test & Development Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

*Experienced in a technical and hands-on Engineering position
*Experienced with testing
*Knowledge of full lifecycle product development, R&D, design and prototyping
*Be proficient using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo etc
*Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
*Excellent attention to detail
*Able to read engineering drawings and BOMs
*Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
*Proficient using MS Office
*Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
*Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team


The Test & Development Engineer role will involve:

*Mechanical testing and manufacture of a variety of components and equipment
*Developing new and existing products
*Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawings
*Handling compliance and test specifications
*Working to procedures and instructions
*Assisting the quality team with functional and visual inspection
*Working to procedures and compliance standards
*Testing, fault-finding and repair
*Using CAD to produce technical drawings, reading, annotating, creating jigs, fixtures, and testing apparatus
*Working both independently and in a team
*Communicating with different departments to resolve technical issues
