A great opportunity is available for an Assistant Accountant to join an international Charity based in North West London. Working as part of the finance team and under the direction of the Financial Controller, this position would be ideal for a qualified/part qualified Accountant with experience in general accounting and a strong working knowledge of Xero.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with the preparation of management accounts, accruals and month-end journals
* Assist with bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts and balance sheet reconciliations
* Maintain petty cash records, process credit card transactions and reconcile monthly accounts
* Reconcile accounts receivables, chase outstanding payments and ensure timely updates to the cashbook and nominal ledger
* Handle purchase orders, process invoices and expenses prepare payments and resolve supplier queries
* VAT returns.
* Assisting with daily consolidations and charity payment runs

Key Skills:
* 4 years or more experience in a similar role
* Strong working knowledge of Xero - essential
* Qualified / Part Qualified AAT, CIMA, ACCA
* A proactive and organised individual with strong attention to detail
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
