Job Description:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the established team in an independent mental health hospital in Annesley, Nottinghamshire.
The hospital is located between Nottingham and Mansfield, is a 28-bedded specialist acute and psychiatric intensive care service for female patients. They offer individualised care packages for patients, specialising in managing behaviours that lead to distress, which is supported by a strong team of psychologists and occupational therapists. The multidisciplinary team specialises in positive behavioural support planning, to help patients in managing and developing new strategies to improve their distress and trauma.
There are two wards - A10-bedded psychiatric intensive care unit for females of working age. The ward is proficient at nursing patients in a severe phase of their mental health illness and it integrates current best practice to promote recovery. And a 9-bedded acute service which provides treatment for females of working age which acts as an extension to NHS care pathways during times of fluctuating capacity and flow. This allows more people to receive care and treatment, continuity of care and allow for minimum disruption to patients and their loved ones.
The hospital provides female adult Acute and PICU inpatient services, delivered in partnership with our NHS partners. They now have a full time Consultant vacancy to cover the 10 bedded Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This may be subject to future change depending on the service needs of the site and skills set of the medical workforce at the time. The site receives support from an experienced Specialty Doctor. The services accept admissions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The successful candidate will be joining an expanding and clinically diverse Priory North Region
This is a full time permanent post and offers a competitive salary of
£185,000 per annum
• 30 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
• Contributory pension scheme
